What is Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade?

Iced peach green tea lemonade is a fruity tea drink made with three simple ingredients: green tea, peach syrup, and fresh lemonade. Normally, cafes will make it with peach juice since that is easier to find than peach syrup. It’s kind of like a peach-flavored Arnold Palmer!
You might recognize it as a popular Starbucks drink, but making it at home is even better because you can use real fruit!
What Does It Taste Like?

This drink is light, fruity, and soooo refreshing. Tea and lemonade work really well together, perhaps because the citrus cuts through the earthiness of tea. Green tea has a mild earthiness with floral undertones, and the peach adds a nice sweetness! It kind of tastes like a mature Gatorade in a sense…
The citrus and tea have that crisp, thirst-quenching quality that makes this lemonade instantly refreshing.
How to Make Peach Syrup
While you can use peach juice, I recommend making a peach syrup for an easy way to add peach flavor and sugar simultaneously. It’s super easy to make at home with 3 ingredients: ripe peaches, sugar, and water.
All you need to do is dice peaches, then simmer them in sugar and water. Once the peach juices cook out, reduce the syrup until you get a thicker consistency. Cool, bottle, and store in the fridge! For more details, follow my easy peach syrup recipe!
It’s super versatile and goes great in coffee, cocktails, or even in yogurt or on pancakes.
Ingredients You’ll Need

- 2-3 tbsp peach syrup
- ½ cup green tea (1 tbsp tea to 1/2 cup water)
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup ice
- 1 sprig mint optional
- 2 slices lemon optional garnish
- 2 slices peach optional garnish
Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade Recipe
- Make or buy peach syrup. You can easily make a fresh peach syrup following my easy recipe! This drink tastes best with fresh peach syrup, but premade works too.
- Brew your favorite green tea. Add the tea bags or loose-leaf tea and steep for 3–5 minutes until the water turns a rich golden yellow. Remove the tea bags/leaves and let the tea cool completely. (Tip: make it ahead of time and store it in the fridge so it’s ice-cold when you make the drink.) I love jasmine green tea, but feel free to use what you have. If using tea bags, use two for every one tbsp of loose-leaf tea.
- Make or buy lemon juice. Wash, halve, and squeeze lemons until you have ¼ cup of juice. (Roughly 2 large lemons).
- Add ice, peach syrup, and tea to a separate glass, then top off with lemon juice and water. Stir to combine, then garnish with slices of peach and lemon if desired.
- Mix and enjoy!
Tips for the Best Peach Green Tea Lemonade

- Cold brew your tea. For an even smoother, less bitter taste, steep your green tea in cold water for 6–12 hours in the fridge instead of hot brewing. It’s refreshing, naturally sweeter, and icy cold!
- Use peach juice or puree. If you don’t have syrup on hand, peach juice or puree works just as well! Just note that puree will add some texture to your drink.
- Go with loose-leaf tea. Loose-leaf green tea gives a much bolder flavor compared to tea bags. It’s worth the extra step if you have it.
- Brew your tea ahead of time. Let your tea chill fully before adding it to ice so the ice doesn’t melt and water down your drink.
- Use sparkling water. Replace water with sparkling water for a fizzy version that’s extra refreshing!
Variations & Substitutions

It’s super easy to switch things up if you’re feeling creative or missing ingredients. Try these ideas:
- Peach Mango Green Tea Lemonade. Add a splash of mango juice or puree! Mango pairs great with peach, which is slightly tart.
- Peach Hibiscus Lemonade. Swap green tea for hibiscus tea. You get a gorgeous pink color and a more floral flavor.
- Peach Mint Lemonade. Muddle a few fresh mint leaves in the glass before adding ice. It’s extra cooling and refreshing.
- Sparkling Peach Green Tea Lemonade. Use sparkling water instead of still water for a bubbly ade or soda.
- Sugar-Free Option. Make or use a peach syrup that is made with a sugar replacement. Or, use fresh peach puree with a little honey or stevia.
- Lemon Swap. Out of lemons? Swap it with lime juice for a slightly bolder citrus flavor that still tastes great!
Frequently Asked Questions: Iced Peach Green Tea Lemonade
Can I make this drink ahead of time?
Yes! You can brew the tea, make lemonade, and syrup in advance, then assemble before serving for the best flavor.
Do I have to use green tea?
Not at all. Green tea is classic, but black tea, oolong tea, white tea, or even herbal teas like hibiscus work well, depending on the flavor you want.
How do I make it taste like Starbucks?
Starbucks uses peach juice, green tea, and sweetened lemonade. To mimic it, make a strong batch of green tea and sweeten it with the juice and lemonade in a 2 green tea to 1 juice and 1 lemonade ratio. It’s pretty simple!
Can I make this without caffeine?
Yes! Just swap out the green tea for a caffeine-free tea like rooibos or chamomile tea.
How long does homemade peach syrup last?
Stored in a sealed jar in the fridge, homemade peach syrup will last about 1–2 weeks. Sugar acts as a natural preservative, so as long as it’s kept cold and clean, you’ll be good to go.
